I've used these guys for many years. I'm a professional repairman of audio and many other technical devices, they have parts for. Historically, they've always been rather reliable and quick. Lately they've been as bad as Amazon! One instance lately. I was waiting for a part and checked on it and it had been postponed... i was never notified of this... so I called him up, and I was already pretty steamed... one good thing is you can actually talk to somebody, but the other side of that is... they don't really know what's going on. They said mine had been delayed for review. The part that I needed quickly was being reviewed... at some point... it had been nearly a week already. So they put a rush on my being reviewed. The reason they gave was that I hadn't ordered anything in a while. Ok? So what's the worry here? I'm pretty sure that there's not a very high incidence of fraud four things like this, which already have several security measures already in place... but that was the answer, whether it's factual or not.
They then rushed the assessment. Whether it was me or whether I really indeed wanted that bad enough, or maybe was going to use the parts for terrorism... i really don't know!
And the last order that I just made, was delayed as well... no reason offered... just delayed.
I used to recommend these folks up there with parts express and mouser... but I can't in good conscience.Do that at this point. If you have a job and it has a deadline, go someplace else. If you like their price, and you don't need the stuff that bad, i suppose they are okay. But this is a lot of new slop. Introduced into a well working machine up until this time. Apparently, they have changed a number of things in the company... and unfortunately, change is not always a good thing. Just ask the good people that used to work at Moog. (The medical instruments company).

Needed a couple of replacement switches for my camper. DigiKey's inventory was so extensive I had to seek on-line help to assist with the search. Their responsiveness was excellent, recommended product was perfect, and their delivery was exceptional. Thanks guys.

Produtos caros, e para quem mora no Brasil cobram taxa extra, e ainda tem frete e impostos. É Inviável.
Parece que estão fazendo um favor ao vender.
Tive experiência ruim com eles. Não recomendo.

A week after placing an order online and getting nothing beyond the initial confirmation, I got an email from DigiKey saying that they needed me to email them a copy of my driver's license or passport to process the order. Ironically, this same message said "email is not a secure form of communication." They also got the information for the order wrong (treating the order number as the amount, meaning the message said the order was for over $89,000,000). When I called asking if there were alternative ways to verify or if I could just change the card used for the purchase, they said there was not. My only option left was to cancel the order. It seems like they don't run a particularly professional operation if it takes a week to hear that there are steps I need to take and if the only steps involve the insecure transmission of identifying documents. Never in all my years of ordering online have I been asked to email documents like this.

Slow shipping, inflated shipping costs, misleading listings and on top of that was sent broken item and I just have to eat the shipping costs. I highly recommend any other parts supplier.

I placed an antenna order, they tried to process the payment for the same invoice 4 times, then canceled order. 2 payments for same invoice still pending even though the order was canceled. There communication has stopped. PayPal dispute now for that. So frustrating. I ended up buying antenna from Arc Antenna and I got my order in days. What a nightmare dealing with Digikey. Never again!

very BAD service , we placed order for a panel cooling fan from UAE and the shipment still not done after 1 month , asking so many silly questions like we ordered a GUN rather than a small Cooling fan.

The purchase order was regrettably canceled without any correspondence regarding the pending refund despite multiple attempts to communicate via email. As a result, I am unable to recommend this company to potential buyers.
