Warranty is a real thing and it was extended for an extra year by registering it in the Citizen app. It was very fortuitous because I needed a repair 6 months after the original warranty expired. They took care of it under warranty and I am very happy with the service.

I mailed my watch to be repaired. After a rather lengthy wait I received the estimate for repair and authorized and paid for the repair. After another wait I received word that the watch had shipped and was given a tracking number. Now, the story is that UPS has lost my watch! Citizen watch is claiming no responsibility, but did offer a credit of $119 if I wanted to purchase another watch from them to replace the one that they lost. Get real! I paid well over that for my watch a few years ago and how far would $119 go to purchase a new Citizen watch? My watch that was lost was beautiful and had great sentimental value to me. I will never entertain the idea of purchasing another Citizen watch. What a sham and disgrace!
¶ UPDATE: After I contacted the Better Business Bureau in Torrance, CA, Citizen watch agreed to issue me a check for $120 and refund the $88.35 which I had paid to repair the lost watch. Although I feel the $120 is a devaluation of my lost watch, I agreed to accept this offer which is the remedy that I had originally sought from them. It is unfortunate that I had to go to such measures to achieve a somewhat satisfactory remedy.
*UPDATE TO THE UPDATE: IT HAS NOW BEEN OVER 2 MONTHS AND I HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE PROMISED $120 AS COMPENSATION FOR THE "LOSS" OF MY WATCH. I WONDER WHO IS WEARING IT RIGHT NOW! IT IS BEYOND BELIEF THAT THIS COMPANY IS SO IRRESPONSIBLE AND DISHONEST.

Have a Citizen Skyhawk Watch. Had for 20+ years. Love my watch. It stopped working. Sent it to the repair center. They repaired it for free. Sent it back. They reset everything. Great Company and product. I will never own anything but a Citizen. I will buy a new one if my old one ever wears out.

I shipped my Calibre 8700 (Blue) for repairs in April. Strangely I received a return to sender of the box I sent in with the message that it had been rejected. Rejected after being at the facility for 3 days? Yes, I have the shipping history. No watch inside, just the pillow the watch was shipped with. Months later and no message from Citizen even though I followed the instructions on the website. Very disappointed as I had owned that watch for almost 20 years. Was shipped from Florida.

I bought my Eco-Drive 14 years ago and it recently stopped working; I had been wearing it daily, so it's not like it was in a drawer for weeks. I really liked the watch and didn't want to give it up. I contacted Citizen, and they provided me with the necessaries to send the watch in to be serviced. I was told that someone would contact me with a repair estimate; one week later (I live on the East Coast), I had my watch back, good as new... gratis! THANK YOU!!

I purchased a nice citizen eco drive watch online this unique watch is very difficult to set the time. I went to The main office in Gardena California to see if anyone can help me. After speaking to the security guard he asked me to fill out a form and I did and asked me to leave my watch and in 5 days someone would contact me. I didn't leave my watch as I was catching a flight. I feel that is poor customer service and policy for just asking to set the time. I furthermore contact customer service and they told me the same thing leave my waych for 5 days and they will call me. So buyer beware of the difficulty of setting an eco drive watch and poor customer service and policies for the main office in Gardena.
