I've wanted to go here for a long time! Finally made it!! Super cute shop with delightful oils, perfumes, incense and loose leaf teas and resins. Beautiful jewelry locally crafted and clever and quirky greeting cards and luscious candles!! Highly recommended!!

Exactly the classic China Rain scent I have been looking everywhere for since Terranova stopped producing it. Shipped quickly and beautifully packaged. Now that I know the level of quality I will be buying many oils. Can't find this stuff in rural Colorado but as an Ojai, CA native I am so glad I came across this shop (in a reddit discussion)! Thank you! I ordered a couple sampler packs as well so will leave reviews on those when they get here! Can't wait! Only advice is to sell on etsy if you aren't already as I am sure others are looking for this particular China Rain or other Terranova discontinued scents. I ordered many others off there with great disappointment each time. So glad Life is in my life now!

Love love love this place, I've come twice now and am regretting it'll be a while before I can come for a third. The prices are super reasonable compared to store-bought perfumes, the bottles are super portable, and you can customize your own scent. PLUS the owner is knowledgable and kind and will work with you on what you want. I would recommend this to anyone going to Haight Ashbury!

stopped by my favorite perfume stores to get an old scent remade, which was a hard feat bc the old perfume bottle i brought was made at Life 6 years ago, and they didn’t have the honey wine scent anymore, but Alexis was super helpful and worked really hard to match it. thanks boo!

I love this store. I have been getting essential oil Himalaya and White Amber for about 5-6 years.
I was walking in the mission when this haunting scent passed me. I’m not the usual “what are you wearing?” Person. I couldn’t help myself. Turns out, it was the owner or manager of LIFE!!
She had a business card and wrote the scent on the back.
The rest is history.
Side note!!!!! I am sadly OUT of my fragrance because of COVID?
One more thing: the bottles are refillable.

This is the most adorable little gift shop. If you're looking for one of a kind, not run of the mill, small gifts this is the place! I love their essential oils/ and custom made perfumes.

The staff is thoughtful and when you buy something they giftwrap it specially, and also have a good selection of giftwrapping for purchase.

I'm from Canada, but I always buy the sandalwood from Life every time i'm in SF. I had an issue with some bottles of the oil when I returned home, and the owner went above and beyond to make sure I had the wonderful, quality scents that the shop is known for. I can't recommend this store enough!
