Lots of electronics and toys at reasonable prices. Most items are not your typical brand names, so if you're looking for something high quality, you probably won't find it here. Great place for cables, connectors and computer boards and parts, though. Check out their website for their flyers, they always have stuff on sale. The guys there are knowledgeable and very helpful.

Poor Laptop Repair Workmanship and Parts

I brought my laptop in for a keyboard and screen replacement as some of the keyboard key connectors were damaged from use and the screen had some scratches. Tech Source took three weeks to find replacement parts and install them. Unfortunately, despite a bargain price of $225 for the work, it wasn't worth it due to the terrible installation of a low quality screen and keyboard.

The replacement screen was low quality with backlight bleed forming a large triangular puddle of overlit space on the lower left. The replacement keyboard was noisy and clattery where the original was silent. Also, the replacement keyboard's trackpoint and discrete buttons did not work.

The forward slash key was hypersensitive, triggered by a finger brushing over it. The G and H and down arrow keys needed to be pushed perfectly center to work.

I tried to live with it, since it was $225. But after two months, the downward arrow key fell off from normal typing, the upward arrow key dislodged and the forward-slash key has gotten stuck. The G and H are not reliable at all.

This repair service did such a poor job that there was no point going back to them to fix their own low quality work.

I would have been better off going to a more capable and expensive repair shop and getting charged a higher rate for higher quality. I should have recognized that a $225 fee for a replacing keyboard and a screen could only mean incompetent install and lousy parts. They should have just told me they couldn't find quality replacement parts, charged me the diagnostic fee and let me move on.

And having sunk money and gas into a failed repair, I decided to just buy a replacement laptop of the same model rather than lose more money on repairs of better quality somewhere else.

I only went to this one because my usual service provider was unavailable due to COVID. I won't make that mistake again.

However, the outlet grocery store next to this place is awesome.

I had a mid-tower with multiple SSDs for a few years. The case was too heavy.

I purchased n Antec Vsk 4000e Atx Mid Tower case from Amazon.

I wanted to transfer the components to the new case the same day.

With specials request it was done in less than 2 hours by tech source.

I have taken one star off as two SSDs were attached to the case with only one screw each. Cheap SSD mounting brackets would have given a much secure attachment. I did it myself by purchasing 2 from Amazon for just over 10 dollars.

I do a lot of printing and this store seem to have all my electronic needs and gadgets. The staff always have time to attend to my specific needs. Just the other day, I had an issue with one of my device purchase from them. I brought it in thinking that I was going to have to leave it for days. Instead, this guy Raymond, looked at it and fix it in front of me. No questions ask. Great service.
